Glass-Shell Tube Heat Exchangers
ANTICO ShelTube™ is the industry-standard heat exchanger designed for a wide range of process heating, cooling, condensation, and vaporisation duties using a bundle of tubes enclosed within a shell. The working principle involves one fluid flowing through the tube-side while a second fluid flows across the shell-side, with heat being transferred across the tube walls between the two streams. The system includes a shell, tube bundle, tube sheets, baffles, channel heads, and nozzles. The TEMA (Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association) standard classification guides the selection of fixed tube sheet, U-tube, or floating head configurations based on thermal expansion, fouling, and cleaning requirements. Shell and tube heat exchangers are the most versatile and widely deployed heat transfer equipment in the process industry.
